Reginald Levy is a 17-year-old photographer from Altanta, GA. He shoots exclusively on 35mm film and primarily uses point and shoot cameras, an aspect which strongly comes across in his work, nothing seems overtly posed and you get a strong sense that it's just him and his friends hanging out.
Reginald told us that he got into photography after watching the film Elephant by Gus Van Sant, which is pretty dark given the nature of the movie but then if you think about it, is actually really understandable. Besides the obvious ending, the majority of Elephant is following around teenagers doing regular highschool stuff. Reginalds's work does just that, capturing his daily life and the experience of youth in a way that's wholly authentic.
