Venice Biennale - Kan Xuan
Last week we hung out at the Venice Biennale preview and between all the free coffee and prosecco, saw some good art. Over the next few days we'll be posting our favourite artists so make sure to check back.

In the curated exhibition at the Arsenale, Kan Xuan's 'Millet Mounds' explores China's ancient imperial burial mounds and the communities living alongside them. 28,000km and a year of research went into 174 stop motion videos documenting her travels in saturated colour. The result is a really pretty and interesting approach to the tension and relationship between China's dynastic past and it's complex present.
