Tobias Faisst is an artist from Berlin whose work primarily consists of making cool 3D render like photography out of real things, or so it seems... I think. One thing's certain; Faisst's work is aesthetically beautiful. Perfect textures, colour plains and shapes so perfect, they appear computer programmed. I guess that deception lies in the fact that the majority of what Tobias shoots is man-made, giving it an eerie, mechanic feel.
What I really love about Faisst's work is the contradictions of how it can remain beautiful yet banal, and complex yet simple. How hard can photos of a car headlight or a reflection of a shiny surface be? Take your fav TLC CD single to your local laundromat and send us the results. We hope they come out nearly as nice as any of Faisst's work.
