Places By People: Kiev
This article is taken from ISSUE 02 of our print edition, see more here.
In this reoccurring feature, we focus on certain places through the perspectives of select photographers. In doing so, we hope to gain further insight into both the photographer and the place.
For this Issue we chose young Ukrainian photographer Vladislav Andrievsky, who's photographed his hometown of Kiev, specifically the suburban neighbourhood of Troyeschina. Of the series, Vladislav says 'my goal was to tell about my friends and the environment we live in. I wanted to picture that as it is. Truly, without any embellishment. This photography is a reflection of a world I live in at the present moment.’
