Naomi Wong is an 18 year old, London-based photographer. Shooting solely on film, capturing her friends and their intimacies, Wong's work is romantic, nostalgic and full of an undeniable closeness. Naomi is originally from a small North of England town and this really comes through in her work; the moodiness, the sentiment and the sense that there's not much to do, but that doesn't matter. Basically, most peoples' teen years. As well as pushing film, Naomi also reps zines, which we're always in to. She runs a zine called Les Filles, taking only female submissions in an attempt to undo the male dominated world of photography. Her own work is also regularly featured in different zines so if you're big into zine culture too, keep a eye out for them.
We're happy to have featured one of Naomi's photos inIssue 02, to illustrate an emotional short story by Andrew Kelly, titled x/0. Make sure you check it out and then go browse more of her amazing portfolio here. Hope you enjoy her work as much as we do.
