Endless Bummer is 17 mins of on point, VX footage from your favourite Englishmen, Palace. As Quartersnacks put it, this is Palace's mixtape in the run up to their official release video and like a good mixtape should, it's got us pretty pumped for what's next. The whole thing really feels like a mixtape, even more so than Palace videos usually do. It's probably the most Palace Palace video, but it's still feels so fresh. Above all else Endless Bummer is the usual high standard street skating you've come to expect from the likes of Chewy, Lucien Clarke, Danny Brady, Benny Fairfax and the rest of the crew. And this, mixed with the music, the samples and the choppiness of it all just works so well.
If only the aforementioned Quartersnacks analogy was a reality. I'd love to see an underground market of people selling and trading bootleg skate VHS, the way people do with mixtapes on cds and cassettes. Imagine dudes pushing pirate copies of Solo-Jazz on your street corner. Better yet, imagine Palace actually just did it themselves and put out a video on VHS. It'd be such a fuck you to all the people biting their style, putting 'vhs-style effects' on their videos. Maybe the official video will get a VHS release and we just ruined the big surprise. However slim the chances may be, one can dream. Please Based God.
